I recently acquired a 1999 Elite Standard and I cant seem to get the E tuner to engage. Do you simply slide the volume down, or is there something else I need to do?

Make sure you have solid wire connections and a fresh battery.

Welcome!

All other pre amp functions (vol, eq etc) work, so Ill try the fresh battery.

I have had a couple of guitars with the OP-24+E on which the E tuner simply quit and a battery change made no difference. I hope yours isn't tanked, but unless covered by warranty, it probably isn't worth replacing, imho.

Great news. I am glad the others were right on this one!
