| And welcome to David too.
If a man has twice as many Ovations as Musicman but only two twenty-fifths as many as povation, what colour would he like the next one to be? |

great collection. You need to go to Dave's (Standingovations) OFC guitar registration page and list all of your guitars. |

povation,
I'm very impressed with your extensive list of Ovation guitars! Of all places, in Thailand even!! All I can say is wow!! That's more Ovations than what a music shop normally display in their showroom! I'm intrigued as to how do you manage to play all of them?
Welcome to the OFC BTW!

In the past, most of the guitars I once owned didn't have a hardshell case, and relied heavily on them gig bags or chip board cases. If I were you, I'd take the guitar to an authorized Ovation dealer in your local area, and check out what they might have for you.
I tried the ebay route before. Yes, their prices (especially if you have the winning bid) are very reasonable, but when you add the shipping, it pretty much ends up costing about the same as purchasing it locally in our own backyard.
:) Once again, welcome to the OFC! :) |

Location: Thailand | I took my guitar pictures, all by myself.I would like to delete the Anniversary Model 1657-7 # 235267 on OFC Members Serial Number List because it is not mine. Maybe my error. Please help me.My English is not strong. That is the mainly reason I registered to be a member of the Ovation Fan Club. Some topics or comments of the members I maybe do not understand. So please foregive me! Is it right if I will say that the original hard case, purple velvet inside that I need to buy, made in 1973 ??

| Hello David and Welcome to the OFC Board.
The model 9110 case is designed for an Ovation deep bowl, and if your guitar (Balladeer 1111) is original and does not have any electronics, this model case would work perfectly for your guitar.
Some of the early Ovation molded cases do not work for guitars with electronics because they do not have the proper cut-outs for the knobs. |

Location: WILMINGTON, DE | I have that exact case. It was in the crawl space (without the guitar in it!) for about 15 years. I just took it out and it seems to have gotten warped. Its doesn't close right without a little pushing on the top. I am wondering if I shouldn't get a new one??
I got it out because the old Balladeer is going to the shop for a little work: new saddle and nut, get the fretts looked at to see if they need replacing. They are worn but I am not sure how much. |

It does the same thing without a guitar in it. The hinges or the metal trim aroung the edges may be bent a little or the hinges may be installed a little too tight. |

Location: WILMINGTON, DE | I think its the metal trim and one of the hinges is bent. It is road weary, I bought it for my O when the guys I played with formed a band and we started playing bars. It got packed and unpacked with band equipment and has had its nocks. I think it is still Ok though. |
