Location: Wooster, Ohio | Is there such a beast out there? If so how rare is it? I am sold on the old deep bowl elites after my purchase of the 1987 collectors and I don't have a 12 string deep bowl. Was the 1987 collectors made in 12?

Location: 6 String Ranch | I don't think that the 87 was made in a 12, but there may have been 1 or 2 custom orders that wound up very similar to that configuration.
And then there is the Elite deep 12 cutaway. There's one here in Jax and I'd love to get it back but the guy won't turn loose of it. I think this was the only one made, wood binding and all that good stuff. |

Location: SoCal | Bill, I know of one each of the 87 configuration 12 string and the 1538 Elite 12 strings, both of which have been in SoCal.
As you know, the 87 configuration is in Wong's collection.
The 1538 was in the Hollywood Guitar Center about 4 years ago. It was just before this board existed. I played it, loved it, but couldn't afford it. And the next time I went by, it was gone. |
