The US ones used to have Hamer USA on the head and the others just have Hamer. Not sure what they have now.

W2 got it right. There's a USA next to the Hamer on the headstock. Uh, and if you can put your hands on them, the difference in build quality is pretty obvious.

Yep, my Artist has a small "USA" beneath the larger "Hamer".
