Coming in second sucks. Someone once called it being "first loser". Anyway, looks like I got the Slothead consolation prize.

If I've learned one thing from girlfriends, wives and lovers in the past 30 years it's that the only way to get over a major disappointmant is to go shopping.

"Billy's going to the prom with that bitch Sally. Let's go shopping."

"You don't love me anymore. I'm going to the mall."

"Tom cheated on me with his new secretary. I'll teach his gold card a thing or two."

You get the idea. How to mend a broken heart? Yes, let's go shopping. OK, it might not be an Ovation, but it IS a slothead ... and it seems down right cheap to me.

A 12 fretter, too. Don't try to convert me into a Martin guy when I'm there. No offense, but I'd rather have seen the Adamas.

You're too late. My Folklore and Classic are among my top 4 or 5 favorites. A few more years and I'll be able to play Classical Gas on the Classic. Then maybe I'll be tired of it.

I can't wait for your guitar to arrive and I am so thrilled about the 1624 that hit my door today.

Dave, nice.

I settled for a 1984 Collectors.

Not the actual guitar but this was the adv for it...hmmm, who is that guy?

I think that's a pic of Bill's son.

Dave, you'll have to let us know how this new guitar compares to the Norman.

It's not a comparison for the Norman, it's a replacement for the D18-VS. Basically same guitar but with Rosewood back and sides instead of Mahogany. Dave
