Not this fan club guys (and gals) ... the "other" one.

Now bashing guitars may be tolerable, but I feel that it's not right to ridicule the character of the person(s) who own them.

I'd stay away henceforth ... our guitars may be criticized for being "plastic," but there's nothing plastic about the personalities, musicianship, and camaraderie that I share with the members in this virtual musical home.

Never been there, now I have even less reason to go. (the Martin site)

I like all my guitars, even the no-name classical that I call my 'beach guitar.' (It's had almost as much beer poured in it as my wife!) And they all sound good for what they do.

That kind of irrational bigotry.....well it just isn't good for the music family. (unless said in fun amongst friends, of course! ;) )

Well done Gil. Good posts over there too. The weirdness quotient here at the OFC may be very high but at least the asshole quotient is pretty low!

Mraygrass has a few alias' and a history of starting fires. Don't give him any more matches.

I believe the T-shirt says "Mean people Suck".

Seems like Mr Ass Ray (did I miss a letter in there?) is fairly new to that forum, or is by his few posts, Is he real or is he our buddy popping up again over there?

Come on Woody, if you work at it you can pass me in the next week. I got company coming and will be busy.

I'll be out for 5 days, although I'll be with a couple of HP people, so we'll have more than enough computers. I thought about asking Dave to post a few smartass remarks for me, but he does very well on his own and knows a lot more about guitars when he isn't talking about string tubes or the like.

Small minds think about people. Average minds think about events. Great minds think about ideas.

I wonder where in that spectrum the participants in that thread fit as compared to, oh, say, Charlie Kaman.

I take a few months off and you guys descend into some of the most despicable remarks. I just saw tonight the king of all genres, the man in BLACK, playing an OVATION. Mr Cash was seen on CM channel playing an OVATION!!!

Don't knock the big JC.

On the subject of bathrooms, the local Bend-over-again's has the wrong gender painted on the inside of the restroom doors. On the outside it says, 'Gents' but when you're inside and coming back out, in great big pink letters it says, 'Ladies.' It was a bit disorienting the first time I went in there (having experienced a few pints of faux Irish hospitality prior).

Okay in honor of hitting 5K on posting - Print a copy of this and present it to your local Barista for a free Latte' or specialty drink!

Be sure to tip generously! (Yes, paper money!)

Barista's are great people! They work hard and and put up with a lot! No I can't repay them for this but chances are if you promise to become a better Tipper they will serve you at least one free coffee!

I want a full report later.
