I recently joined another OldTime/Bluegrass jam and musicians stand while playing. In the other jams, I've always been sitting.

I'm taking the FD14 to play for these and discovered that due to the different style 1/4" jack/endpin combo, the standard Dunlop staplocks don't actually lock-in when inserted into the endpin.

Anybody out there know what other type of straplock might worK??

The strap grove in this endpin is of a much larger outside diameter and more narrow groove width than the standard dunlop strap buttons.
Very similar to this:

Jeff, Send me your address and I'll mail you out a set.

They are the original version of Dunlop Lokstraps.

Here is how I found them.

As usual, you are of very little assistance...

Noah passed a couple of these on to me last night. I'm going to try them this weekend and will let everybody know how they work.

Where would you find a "figure 8" pices of leather?

Brown. Thanks Jeff. I'll shoot you my address off the board.

The first beer in CT is on me (of course, on Thursday evening, the hotel supplied us with beer).

End pins don't take straplocks. They take plugs.

I might get shot if I put a plug in at this venue.

In my line of work, "shoot them first" has always been my main philosphy.

Moody, You might not need it. Check out the fit of your strap on the endpin first. I'm gonna try them out on the FD14 and '97 Collector this weekend.
