Is there going to be a class between Matt and Susan for those of us that know 3 chords and are looking for the 4th?

I like the idea of a Q&A session.

Suggestion for the saturaday a.m. classes....have some very strong coffee on hand and finger-pick veeerrrry softly.

Just a question from those of us that are to far away to attend...are there any plans to capture this year's events to a DVD release?

I think so, Tim, but I have mixed feelings about it. Last year I spent a whole lot of time behind a video camera and not enough behind a guitar. I'd like to spend more time playing and visiting this year.
Now, if everyone's ok with it, I have no problem doing the editing and authoring, I enjoy it. If several (or more) of us could bring video cams, or take part time duty for the ones that do, we could capture a lot more to work with and Phil and I could socialize more. For instance, I'd like to do a better job on the Tour. Maybe 2 cameras (more shot options) plugged into the wireless system (better audio). I'd love to have 2 or more cams to record the Jam stuff, as well as taking the audio straight off the board. It's a lot more fun to work with multiple shots on a sync'd audio track.

Anyway, that's my feelings on it. Opinions, anyone?

I plan on bringing my video camera to help out. Waskel did a heck if a job last time. He can do much better with more to work with.
John and I talked about taking advance orders (and da cash) right at the tour. Gotta strike while the iron is hot (and....while their judgement might be a bit clouded by the demon rum.)

It didn't sell well? I'm surprised to hear that becuase it was discussed extensively. I bought one and pop it in every once in a while to enjoy it. I thought it was a great idea but I also realize that what Al points out is definitely true - interest can only be truly counted after the checks come in.

I not as interested in the tour side, but I really enjoyed watching the jam sessions on the patio and in the lobby.

Tim, while they're hammering out this years plan you can pick up last years, if you're interested, from the OFC Store for only $8. Some fun footage there of both the jams and the Tour.

I'll probably do a 2-disk set this time. With the option of buying Tour, Jam or both.
Hopefully Kim will order warmer, drier weather this year, so the Jam doesn't get cut short. Are we having it at the same place this year, Al? If you don't know yet, it's cool, please don't hit me again...

Where will everyone meet on Friday morning for the Ovation Factory tour?

I am "safely" assuming that not all folks will be spending Thursday night at the hotel, and will hit the road from his/her respective homes (or wherever) early Friday morning.

Miss the Thursday Lobby Jam and you miss about 33-1/3% of the tour experience.

There were quite a few "drive-ups" gathered in the factory parking lot when the hotel crowd showed up.

Well I'm coming along to join the party for my FIRST OFC Factory Tour: can't wait to meet everyone and see the Mothership!!! I hope to persuade Jeff Burns to come along too. As of today (said Ronnie at the Windsor Locks/Hartford Hilton) there were 14 booked there: "Can't wait to hear all them geetars, like last year!"

I will definitely be there for my first OFC tour. Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to make it Thursday night for I won't be done with work until 8:00 p.m. By the time I arrive home, I'm usually tired, considering that I start my day as early as 6 a.m. Hence, I have decided to take the 2 1/2 hour road trip to CT on Friday morning ... hopefully, I'll make it to the tour on time.

Hey everyone, I will get the "signup" sheet for the tour active as soon as possible. As some may know, I'm in the middle of a move (no not movement... just move) and that has been my focus with at least the 1st 63' rig showing up tomorrow. Anyway, I will in my spare time get the signup ready so be watching for it in the next week or so.

I did the same thing last year. I left home at 5 am and arrived at the factory around 7 am. I was starting to feel tired in the afternoon but kept busy with shooting photos and video.

Phil,
In light of your experience from last year, what time would you suggest that I leave on Friday morning?

Al,
With the singer/songwriter and fingerpickin' workshops going on from 9-10 a.m., and 10-11 a.m. respectively, what time is the factory tour going to take place?

Gil,
The workshops are going to take place in the hotel, not in the factory. I did the factory tour two times and so I am looking forward to the workshops. I left about 5 am and arrived about 7 am. People will not start arriving at the factory until about 8:00-8:30. I don't mind arriving early. My work day starts at 8:00AM and I usually arrive in the parkin lot at 7:15. This gives me time to have my coffee and breakfast at a relaxed pace.

Thanks Phil,

Since this is my first, I'll most likely take the factory tour. If the tour ends early, I just might even make it to Paul's workshop. By then, I could prolly grab a bite for lunch and perhaps, be allowed to check-in the hotel after ... well hopefully.
