I returned this afternoon from a 7 day trip to the East Coast and returned to find in my mail:

1) The OFC CD ... very nice job Dave (and Cliff!). I am stunned and amazed at the quality of performance by everyone on the disc, and honored that my meager contribution was included.

2) A thick package from Martin Guitar. Inside was a DVD on the new Onboard Aura amplification system (which I will watch tomorrow), a microfiber polishing cloth (Martin logo'd of course), The Martin January Newsletter, several high-quality brochures covering the entire product line, and a letter from C.F. Martin. All I've got to say is they sure know how to market to their existing customer base.

It's called reinforcement, and on a percentage basis, it works. I haven't gotten Martin stuff in years (last purchase - 88) but I still get stuff from Taylor.
