I'm brand new to Ovations and I want to get a 12 string. I'm trying to decide between a Legend 6756 LX and Balladeer 6751. I think both are mid-depth. Neither model is available locally for me to try. I know there is a price differential. I'd appreciate opinions about the ups and downs of each model. Do you have clear preferences on either? Many thanks.

Get the LX. Lighter weight, better sound, better preamp.

...and the LX has a 5 piece neck with a bound Ebony fingerboard. 6751 has a 2 piece neck with unbound Rosewood fingerboard. Lots of upgrades on the 6756 LX. "...choose wisely."

6756 LX. Not even close. I've played multiple examples of each.

Has Ovation ever made a USA Legend 12string in a midbowl cutaway? Would like to find one of those eventually.

Moody, what are we looking at here, about a $1000, give or take, maybe more? I guess Ovation never made a 12-string Legend midbowl cutaway, I'll have to consider the balladeer 12's, there'a a nice 6751 on the 'bay right now...

Why, yes they have:
Custom Legend 6759

I sold one of these for right around $1000 not long ago.

For a little bit of pain there are great rewards!

Don't get me wrong, Brad, I think naturals are beautiful!

But the abalone looks better against the black.
