Registration will probably start soon.
Time to beat the drums for those procrastinators out there.
So...
Who's planning on going?
Will this be your first tour?
What are you bringing?
.
Second tour for me.
I'll bring my AD-II, Breadwinner & uke.
Since we have that meeting room maybe we could use my Acoustisonic Jr. |

No.
Thinking about bringing the 1581. AA says they're 'musician friendly'. Will an OHSC fit in an overhead? |

Just hard to spend $1k on a weekend when the house needs so much and the kids need military school.
I'll buy a Lotto ticket this weekend and see what happens!
If I show it will be with a Custom 12 string and a Papoose. |

At the tour I'll be picking up my 1537 from it's reburbishing by the factory. I'll also bring my 1619 which I should be getting back from the factory real soon. They've had it since the beginning of January. Looks like the factory is very busy with repairs. I'm looking forward to to seeing it. |

$1k? Michael, I just checked priceline - you can get a round trip leaving Wednesday night and returning Sunday for $259 - $50 cheaper than mine, and I booked 2 months ago... |

I have a copy of a letter at home written by the head of that federal security outfit that used to do searches at all the airports. I think it was TSA. Anyway he says that musical instruments can be carried on if they fit in the overhead compartment. Most guitars do. I got it off some website, which I'll post this weekend if I remember. |

I'm not sure the OHSC will fit in the overhead. I was recently on a JetBlue flight and one passenger brought on board two electric guitars, but they were both in gig bags. My guess is that the OHSC will be too big. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | An OHSC for an Artist (one of the brown cases) fit fine in the overhead on 2 Southwest flights coming back from Phoenix last week. The smaller case with the wooden roundback in it fit even easier in the overheads on the 2 Southwest flights going down.
Southwest doesn't assign seats, but we got in the first boarding group except for one leg of the flights back. I went toward the back of the plane, put the case in an empty bin and people packed several other items around it. I got a few scowls when I was carrying it on and off, but no other problems. Three of the four flights were full. I hope that helps, if you can compare the type of plane Southwest uses with whatever anyone else will be flying. |

Got a call last Friday and my Mom was admitted to Moffitt Cancer Institute in Tampa for chemo therapy to battle lukemia.
Take lots of pics and recordings. I'll participate after the fact. Maybe next year. |

"You should have no trouble fitting your hardshell case into the overhead. If for any reason you do, the flight crew would be happy to stow it in a closet". What nice people. :D
I'll be bringing the 1581. |

I am booked at the hotel for Thurs and Fri Night.Hoping to bring my Adamas 12 string if it will fit in the Viper but I'm bringing a passenger so I have to see if it'll squeeze in the hatch. If not maybe take my daughters First Act? I dont think my truck will make the drive so gotta squeeze in on this one. |

BTW - My Wife and I ended up having great conversations with a Pilot from Australia and a 6"5" Woman from Germany! How can I not get to see the world?
I went via Expedia Dot Calm and pulled off a Round trip for under $280.
I will deal with the overbooked flights later! |

Hang in there C and keep the faith man. The Hospitals are good with this stuff nowadays.
And as for the good thoughts your way we can do better than that... If I am not mistaken we have a bunch a guy's who can sing and play this praise stuff pretty good in this group!
Crank it up to "ten" boys lets see if anyones home!
I plan to go myself this year but this sure lets ya know "plans" are a luxury.

You get all of that except the bribes, I've got nothing to trade I wasn't already given. May you and your family come out of this alright.
One reason I want to make it to the Tour this year is because of the whole "plans" thing. we don't know what tomorrow brings and if we can celebrate and share today that can be a good thing.
There are a handfull of previous posters out there that have gone silent. I can easily forget how blessed I am to be able to sit down and share with you guys when I should be practicing.
So it's Christmas tunes to record (on the Pocket studio Crusty loaned me!) and Celtic Drinking tunes for the Tour Jam! |
