Location: NYC | I notice that Elderly has listed the new for '06 Adamas 2080 in the Ovation section. They say it's on order and is expected in June. Can't wait to see if any of the local music stores get one in so I can go try it out! |

No, that wasn't me. I do have the DVD from the tour, though. It was very well done.
That 2080 is very intriguing. If I remember, Elderly will sell it for about $2,100. That would make more than twice what I paid for the Std. Elite LX, but even not having played it, I really want it! LX neck + Adamas top + contour bowl - who could ask for more? |

| I could ask for less - that STUPID nike swoosh thing should be consigned to the trash can and never ever see the light of day again.
The 1680 and the 2080 both look like fantastic guitars in their different ways - but the swoosh just looks cheap and shitty. I can't believe anybody in a design office drew that and thought they were onto a winner. |

I hate how it looks. Too "industrial" for me and the sound hole is most definately a fashion faux pa.
The sound holes on the Q597 are far more stylish |

Location: NYC | You guys are right; it does look kinda weird. But, it's like I say about the color or trim on a car. It's important, but you don't see it from behind the wheel. I guess I'll have to hear it and feel it to decide if the Nike swoosh can be overlooked or not. |

We might be hurting some creative genius'feelings here. Maybe the mothership should sponsor a "sound hole design" competition. I've got some great ideas that I'm sure Schroder will hate. how about "side ports" didn't somone ask about routering their bowl awhile back? I think somone should try it on a multihole celeb, put feedback busters in it and tell us how it sounds :p :D :p |

The sound holes on the Q597 are far more stylish I, too, like the Q597 "eyebrows" better than the teardrop. But, that's just me.
I wonder if the lack of top and fingerboard binding makes it look industrial, or, if the industrial look dictates the lack of top and fingerboard binding? |

Location: Lake Hiawatha, New Jersey | Personally, I love the looks and especially the sound of this guitar...I think they're onto something cool. It's really different looking and I like the variation from the 'norm'. The shape of the sound hole doesn't bother me, but I woner if the 'eyelid' edge that protrudes will interfere with playing comfort. I can see shredding my right hand all over it while strumming during my usual stage antics. My blood will add a little color. Nothing new...I usually shred my right hand on the strings anyway.
When they make a 12 string version, I'm all over it. They can make it the official 'strummin12' model and I'll endorse it wherever I play (of course, I'll need a sample guitar to do that...hint...hint). If I'm the only one who likes it, that's cool too. Ya' all can call it ugly and I won't care, I'll just play the sh!t outta it. It's a monster guitar, punchy, ballsy sound. I really like the pewter machines with the black pegs.
I don't recall if the neck is finished. I hope so. |

Location: Phoenix AZ | I think the Nike swoosh signifies Contour Bowl. We should all start calling it the NIKE bowl and I'm sure they'll drop the swoosh quickly.
Personal opinion, I LOVE the cateye soundhole. I would not be at all disappointed to see this phase out the gay fig leaves and shitlets entirely.

Would seem a waste of Reeves Calloway's talents on the Board not to take further advantage of his (and his company's) graphite skills. |
