I will reserve judgment until I have downloaded a few and played with them a bit. |

Location: Montana | Bump this one up again. This site has been kind of fun. Some of these tracks are good, some not so good but for free how can you complain. Some tracks are too slow or fast and some are too quiet. So is there software that can be used to change the tempo and levels? Can anyone recommend a simple and cheap software package? Any other websites that have good tracks?

Location: Jet City | i'm glad you bumped it, what a cool site. I just did a quicky with Gary Moore's Still Got The Blues. I just love that riff.
I don't know of a good cheap software that will slow it down and have the quality still be good enough to do anything with. There are things that will slow down an audio file to learn a solo or that sort of thing, but I don't think they're designed to be used for backing track tempos.
I don't know for sure though. New things come out everyday. |

I know that I have been here (there) before, but I don't have a bookmark for it.
Must be on the other computer.
But I'm kinda slow... I need some visual cues to tell me where we are at in the song...
(Like Karaoke! )
Okay, which version of "Rockin' in the Free World" are we doing?
[The 4:45 version... Not the 3:35 version, nor the 8:39 slow version with Springsteen...] |

Location: Paris/France | Thanks Tim,
I've used one of these Backing Tracks and I've done my best on my favorite Beatles song!!
My Adamas Custom Order (A Lost Art Vintage guitar...) sounds perfect for that nice George Harrison's tune.
I hope that you will love to hear and watch THAT COVER OF "HERE COME THE SUN" .
I'm not a great guitar player but I've had so much fun to record that tune. ;)
Adamas guitars are definitively the best guitars in the world!!! :D

Location: Phoenix AZ | Jerome, With all due respect I am really disappointed. The site says "YouTube France" and there wasn't anything French about your performance. Not even a white thumb pick. I feel cheated.
This is more like I would expect from from a fine Frenchman such as yourself ...

I used a backing track from this site to do an Ozzy tune a few weeks ago. It was fun indeed.
Hey Jack, VH made a living outta doing covers, I wouldn't be surprised! |
