Is there a good person to contact at Ovation directly who might be able to find some information for me?
I'm still trying to track down the serial number from my 1869 that was stolen a couple months ago. Unfortunately, I didn't ever record the serial number on anything but the receipt (which was in the case) and I don't have a record of it. Based on knowing all the stats, the year, model, color, and which distributor it was originally sold to, do you think that they can find the serial number so I can report it to the police? |

That being said, I need to make sure I have all my serial numbers written down somewhere safe. |

Location: Paris/France | Dave's OFC members serial list page is surely the best place to keep all these information.
More than to be a great reference, www.ovationgallery.com is also very useful.
Thanks Dave. ;)

Location: Chehalis, Washington | The store I bought it from is no longer open. Actually, come to think of it, they did have a location in Seattle, but I'm not sure if it's still there either.
I did, however, list my other guitars on Dave's site - thanks for the resource! I've learned my lesson.
Do you think that Ovation might keep a record of all serial numbers on guitars produced, so I could at least get a range to work from? I can't imagine that there were that many 1869 CL's in cherry burst sold to distrubutors in Washington state in 1994 |

My question to him concerned the possiblity that I may have purchaced an FRG without knowing it.
John was on my request before I could close my e-mail session. I knew from other threads that Ovation customer service was great, top notch, etc. Now I can state from personal experience that this is definitely the case. Thanks to John again.
