Location: Malvern, Pa. | Wanted to know from you experts, what do I use to keep the Textured Top Adamas (U681T) maintained/Cleaned? I've only had it for a couple of days. It is amazing!!! Learning DADGAD tuning, and this box just vibrates like crazy!! Any maint help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

| I hose jeff's down while I'm cleaning the car. As long as you remember to take the battery out first it doesn't do much more damage than a tin of auto touch-up won't cover. |

Probably only take me 5-6 months.
But then it will be winter. I'll return it next spring. :D |

Thanks for the advise - my wife already thought of the dishwasher. She said it looks like a 'plastic toy' guitar!

Location: Australia | Firstly, congratulations on your new Adamas.
You don't really have to do anything to care for the top.
If I'm doing a gig in summer and the top gets real sweaty, I might wipe it with a damp cloth and that's it.
...."plastic toy" guitar indeed. |

Dave has more Adamas guitars than I've found in Boise. Not just GC, who has never had one, but the other 2 Ovation dealers (one of which had never heard of Adamas) and all private owners. I don't know of any Adamas guitars in Boise, obviously, and I had never played one until I visited Dave. Maybe someday I'll be the first. |

Location: Phoenix AZ | I did buy a used 1681 that came covered in arm pit grease. Formula 407 cleaned it right up. Serriously, I think just a damp cloth is all you'll ever need to use. Dave |

I only know of one other Ovation owner, and he has gravitated to the Taylor camp.
