Apart from me, I know Aloha Tim has ordered one and I think Tony C has too.
Anyone else ?
BTW, the factory told me that production on these is well under way. |

I was told about 3 months but I wouldn't go to the bank on it.
Aloha Tim told me he was 14th on the list and his was ordered in January. (Hope you don't mind me sharing that Tim) |

My Ovation rep here talked to the mothership on Tuesday (yes, I actually call him once a week for an update), they have started work on the 1187 orders and they said deliveries should start within the next few months.
Can't wait, mine's slated for early June :D

Does anyone know how many have been ordered and if they're still taking orders on it or is it now too late ?
As Tony says it's a select club but a really select club would be #47 owners who then pony up for an OFC Adamas !
....I doubt if I'll be one of them... |

Location: SoCal | Alas, since the OFC is basically an a/e # 47, doubt if there will be more than ten to eleven.
I will get also get the OFC but the original idea was to celebrate the OFC - something that just about any of the members could get.
We seem to have lost the original enthusiasm for an inexpensive item (polo shirt, strap, ??). |

Location: SoCal | My understanding is that they are making 47 of the 47's and that the factory has "sold" the total run. The guitars haven't been sold by the dealers that made the commitment - heck, they don't even know the final price (has been stated about $5,000 list).
I know that Al did all of us a service by pre-ordering five. Fortunately, I believe his trust will be reinforced by sales. |

Location: Phoenix AZ | I think there will be people who end up owning both a #47 and an OFC guitar. But I also think there is still such uncertainty about if and what and when the OFC guitar will actually be, that investing in a #47 right now is probably not a bad idea. I think maybe the 5 that Al has ordered already have names on them, but I'm not the inventory police. Contact Al. Dave |

I guess it depends upon how many they've sold which then determines how large the production run is which will then dictate delivery times. |
