As I'm a bit of a throwback to the 70's, I've always like the look of the old models with truss rod covers.

I've actually thought of adding them to my newer models.

Has anyone else done this or am I a total moron ?

Bill was responding to the trc question, but I'll volunteer, Waskel, that you're a total moron. It's why you fit in so well here.

Witko puts old style trc's on all his guitars. Look at his webpage, ovationgallery.com.

Guilty. Not only do I put TRC's on almost every guitar, but I even put TRR's in every case. personally I hate the new LX covers. They just look cheap. I use the originals where ever possible. One problem however is that the originals are a bit too wide for the Atkins headstocks. So I had to resort to this:

It was a multiple choice answer.

Please clarify... What is an "Atkins" headstock?

I think he's referring to the newer, slimmed-down, Selmer-influenced headstocks (like the Ute's have). . .

I put a GEN-U-WINE Glen Campbell Signature TRC on my 1866 Legend 12 string w/K-bar neck to make it an UnOfficial Glen Campbell Signature Legend 12 String Model! :D

I also have a GEN-U-WINE Glen Campbell Signature TRC on my 1614 Folklore and plan on putting one on my EA68 Viper.......

I like the look of the old style TRC's also!

It seems Bill was answering both questions with one answer, thrifty soul that he is. Richard, looks like you're in good company, on both counts.
'Scuse me, I need to go put a TRC on my 1759...
