Location: cincinnati, ohio | Years ago, as a special promotion, Ovation released nice, wide leather guitar straps that featured the Ovation rosette hand-tooled on the leather. I had a light colored tan/beige one to go with my blonde Balladeer, and a dark brown one to go with my tobacco sunburst Pacemaker. The light colored one shriveled up like a shrunken head on the fat end (probably lack of care or treatment on my part), and the dark one just disappeared. Anyway, I was wondering if anybody a.) had one b.) knows if any of these critters still exist and where to get them, and/or c.) remember what the Hell I'm even talking about! |

I remember them... I had a white one. They haven't been in production, I don't believe, since the late 70s or very early 80s. Occasionally, one will pop up on Ebay. When they do, they usually fetch somewhere between $20-30 used. I remember one from a few years ago that was still in the original package. I don't remember what it went for, but I want to say around $70-80. |

Fender are the classic example. You can buy Fender straps, picks, leads, string winders, etc, etc and since they've taken on Gretsch they've done the same with that brand.
....smart marketing if you ask me |

Location: GATLINBURG TENNESSEE :) | I really liked the one Susan (I Think?) sold with her Elite 12 string. I think she said she made it herself. To me it is the best one I've ever seen, and I sure wish she'd go into the business of making them. I'd like to have a few of them. Anyone remember the one I'm talking about? |
