It would be better if I had more Ovations to put on Dave's site. :D |

Maybe pride, maybe one upsmanship, maybe just a good backup in case of fire or theft.
For me, it is the opportunity to see what my fellow OFC brothers have. |

Location: Phoenix AZ | Let me explain from my perspective. This whole thing actually started from two different directions. The one direction was the Limited Editions. These are rare guitars and we talk about them so much on this board that I thought it would be cool to see in one place who had what. That part's a little bit showing off and some guys are obcessed with low serials numbers, etc. but what the hell. The other direction that this came about was that a lot of members have these long lists of guitars models in their signatures that they own. And I though it would be interesting to compile the whole thing in one place. Then someone suggested adding the serial numbers to help date things and also serve as a database. Then it was suggested to add the Collectors Series year by year. I started adding photos, etc. So, basically the whole thing just mushroomed from there. It's completely voluntary. Some people don't want their stuff listed, etc. It's all cool. Dave |
