Location: PDX | Hi folks -- well, i'm in the process of familiarizing myself with my "new-to-me" (1990)Lengend 1867.
I scoured the web, Ovation's site, and here and have not found a link to a downloadable Owners Manual for the OP-24 preamp.
I plan on calling Ovation on Monday - but until then, does anybody know where i might find one? I'd hate to just start loosening screws to find out how to change the battery, for instance.
As a second ranked curiousity -- what he heck is the screw in the topside upper bout for?

Location: NW NJ | The screw to the left of the OP-24 is for releasing the battery holder to replace the battery. 1/4 turn to the left, and the battery holder comes lose from the other side of the bowl, so you'll need to put your non-screwdriver holding hand inside the body to catch the holder. After you replace the battery, hold the battery holder against the side of the bowl inside over the screw and give the screw 1/4 turn to the right to lock it in place. The screw is not designed to totally unscrew, just 1/4 turn will do the trick. |

Location: PDX | So i emailed Ovation for a manual. Their first reply was to send me the PDF's for the 24+ which is on their web site.
Emailed them back, stating i needed the 24 not the 24+, and i got this reply today:
"Hi Greg,
No owners manual available for this model, sorry.

So, i'm still looking for one if anybody comes across it. There was a picture of part of the manual on a web page linked to earlier in this thread -- but not the manual itself.

Location: Australia | I remember when I first had a OP 24 model it had a list of Eq settings for different styles. The settings were courtesy of "Mr hornrims and hair" Larry Coryell.
I'm not sure if it was in the manual itself or on a separate little card. |
