My AD-II...uke....and Breadwinner.
BrianT and I are putting a little spit and polish on a few songs for the "offical" OFC jam.
It's getting close and I'm getting pretty stoked for it.

A slightly dinged up Concert Classic will be available for those nylon players out there. I've got to pick up new strings but they'll be put on about a week before the Tour just to make sure they're nice and fresh.

I'm getting pretty stoked myself. Can't wait to meet and hear some of you guys play first hand.

Jeff,

I'm bringing my U681T. Yours probably needs to be run through the dishwasher as soon as you get it home and will need time to dry :D :p :D :p

My fav is by Marissa as Mona Lisa Vito....

"Imagine you're a deer. You're prancing around. You get thirsty. You spot a little brook. You put your little deer lips down to the cool, clear water - BAM. A fuckin' bullet rips off part of your head. Your brains are lying on the ground in little bloody pieces. If I can manage to drag one through the different places I'll be enroute to CT, I think I'll bring the Josh White. Or maybe the 1537. I'd bring an electric but carrying the Pro Reverb through the airport is out of the question.

Please do, Paul, I'd love to try it!

I'm looking forward to trying a Ute and the Lowden.

I've also never played a 1573.

It looks like between the "historical" room at the factory and the hotel lobby there will be an awesome, record setting, number of Ovations (and non-Ovations) to test drive this year.
I'm not trying to bum out the folks who can't go this year but I gotta say that just the variety of guitars to play with is worth the trip all on it's own.

My goal for this Tour is to sample enough examples to quantify the qualitys of the textured top / slothead Adamas and and 12 fret to body features.
Maybe I should wear a labcoat with a pocket protector and carry around a clipboard.

OK that's official.... it's "Fishnets and Lab Coats".... or you don't get in. Of course, if you bring a Llama you can wear anything you want. but for the rest of us it's the coats & socks!

I am planning on hitting the Jamm session on one of the nights??? I'll drive out and drive back. If I can fit it in I'd love to hit the Factory tour as well but I really don't think I can swing it.
I have three huge projects going and I just added digging up the part of the pool to fix the broken return.....it never ends

I'd like to bring my 3 O's...'97 Collectors', pimped-out StdEliteLX (w/gold hdwr,XLR and "Soundports)and '79 Pacemaker. Trouble is there's 3 or 4 of us traveling in my Scion XA. Maybe we'll put all the guitars in the flimsy rooftop carrier.

If you have more Ovations than changes of underwear.
..... you may be an Ovationaulic

If people comment that you'd get more work done if you weren't holding jam session in your cubicle....
......you may be an Ovationaulic

When you go on vacation and have to leave one or more children behind to make room for the guitars...
......you may be an Ovationaulic

When your vacations are booked around OFC events.....
......You, MAY, be... an... Ovationaulic.

Thank you, thank you. I'm here all week and remember, your waitress works for tips.

BTW....The Booted Celebrity will be returning to meet whatever fate is in store. Will it be elevated in stature to some type of yearly trophy??? Or will it finally meet the dumpster it was destined for a year ago?

Americans are emotionally incapable of understanding cricket. I've been trying to explain it to my sports-mad NY brother-in-law every year for the last 13 years. We get as far as " a game takes either 3 days or 5 days and usually ends in a tie." Then we go to the pub.
