I notice from the photos of the 47RI that it has no access door in the bowl.

Just "hypothetically speaking" if someone did just happen to have a 2-knobber electronics package that he "might" have removed from an Adamas II and mated it to a thinline pickup, just how might this person get the damn thing inside the guitar ???

Alternatively, it looks to me like the FD14 end pin preamp card might actually fit through the largest sound hole ??? Maybe Cliff's Gerbil could be trained to climb in there and actually hook the thing up ???

Fitting an endpin preamp would be a pain unless you know a gynacologist with long arms and small hands. Then there's the issue of battery access. Fitting an FD14 battery box would be difficult without a soundhole to work through. Best bet would be to install a thinline and use an external preamp. Fitting a standard output jack would be pretty easy

Dave, just cut a hole in the back...you could also paint the inside of the bowl. Just use duct tape to seal the hole back up.

I think I'll keep mine acoustic...if it ever gets delivered.

I wondered how ol' Habitrail Doenges got his nickname.

Someone needs to develop a way to quick mount a quality magnetic pickup like a Fishman Rare Earth so you can pop it on if you need to plug in at a pinch.

Their are a few good stick on pickups. I`ll stay away from the gerbil jokes, except to say "WATCH OUT FOR YOUR ACCESS DOOR".

CYA. (Popping it 'off' may be a problem though...)
