Location: Phoenix AZ | OK, I know there are a bunch of threads floating around here about Le Tour. Let me throw in my own plug, because the excitement is starting grow on my part. Last night I made my checklist.
Hotels, planes arranged. Printed out Cliff's pdf. Practiced the Slipkid-Tupperware duet. Ordered the stage "accessories" and giveaways. Worked on our "band" song. Shipped a tenor to Cliffs house for Temp. Restrung a couple of small wooden boxes, ...
It's going to be fun. If you're sitting on the fence, get off it. I was at the 1st ever OFC Tour and made some personal friendships that continue to grow stronger and stronger to this day. Posting on the board is nice, but meeting the faces behind the words is just great.
Not only will the actual factory tour be fun (if you have not seen how they make these wonderful guitars, you are in for a real treat), but Al has put in a lot of effort to organize some great additional events. Clinics, workshops, jam sessions, etc. And all this for FREE.
Hope to see as many of you there as possible.

Location: south east Michigan | Yeah….Get off da fence!!! Especially if you are already in the New England area. Besides all the other stuff there will be quite a cast of OFC characters..…many for the first time.
Like:::::
Schroeder…Can the man possibly live up to the legend???
Jeff W………Catch him now because this time next year Spielberg will be filming the next Indiana Jones movie and he won’t be able to make the ’07 tour!
Woody…..The “Bob Villa” of luthiers!
WeaserP…Will his humor flow as smooth in person? Or will we find that he depends on a team of writers for his material?
Tupperware…Even the new guys are getting into the spirit!
And don’t forget the regulars……
WATCH…..Paul Templeman fight off jet lag!
HEAR……Al voice his worries LIVE AND IN CONCERT!!
BE VERY CAREFUL…of Waskel and his camcorder. What happens at the tour might not stay at the tour! (example….this is not the time to experiment with harmonies. BTW..I was not OFF key…I was COUNTER key)
LEARN…how to cuss like a real pro from Cliff!
OBSERVE...Phil Wong confirm every stereo-type you ever heard!!
AND THERE IS MORE!!!
WITNESS….the complete and utter takeover of a hotel lobby!
CHOOSE….from best selection of both new and vintage Ovations to test drive.
How could you not “BE THERE”???? |

"Sweet Home AlaF@ckinBama" applies as well . . . |
