Here's a press release from the group Heart. I bet we'll see a couple of O's at this performance. If you want to see a couple of TRUE divas, catch Nancy and Ann Wilson. Not only is this classic rock, it's "classy" rock!

Heart ~ Decades Rock Live premiere's on VH1 Classics on Friday May 5th...

The all-star show, featuring Heart and an unusually eclectic group of guests (everyone from "American Idol" star Carrie Underwood to a new version of the re-united Alice in Chains), was taped for broadcast on the VH1 Classic channel, as part of its "Decades Rock Live" series.

Heart lead vocalist Ann Wilson, who is Nancy's sister (and the only person, besides Nancy, who has been in the band from the start), can still sing with the raw power and strutting theatricality of a young Robert Plant. This isn't a random comparison -- Heart covered four songs by Plant's former band, Led Zeppelin, Friday, and they were all impressive.

In alternating segments, Heart played on its own, and with guests. Underwood crooned the power ballad "Alone," and singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright duetted with Ann Wilson on the introspective "Dog & Butterfly, while country star Gretchen Wilson, in a pre-taped segment, joined the band for the sassy rocker "Even It Up." Navarro added burly guitar riffs to songs like "Bebe Le Strange," "Straight On" and "Crazy On You." Alice in Chains -- who, like Heart, hails from Seattle -- played its own "Rooster," with Ann Wilson handling some of the vocals.

Other special guests performers included Duff Mc Kagan (Velvet Revolver) and Phillip H. Anselmo (Down/Pantera)

Tune it and catch this AMAZING event!!

Driving with my 14 year old and we heard a redo of "Listen to your heart". I was impressed that she knew all the words. I had to ruin it by saying that Ann sang it so-o much better!

I was thinking back on Heart tunes for the rest of the afternoon! This will be great!

I'm impressed by your technical prowess. I was in the doghouse for forgettting to punch the button on ours to record Desperate Housewives for my wife. We can't figure out how to work the timed recording.

THANKS....maybe I'll get our VCR hooked up again by June 4th..... :)

Note....the bass player and lead guitarist for Heart on the 2004 tour were former members of Alice In Chains, so no surprise they were present.

Bet we don't see ANY Os...they only used Ann's custom Balladeer 12-string on the 2002 "Live In Seattle" DVD, and they didn't use ANY when my wife and I saw them in concert in 2004. Nancy uses her trusty Takamine and a Martin for acoustic stuff now. Bet we see Nancy playing a Les Paul, though! (she's in advertisements currently for the Epiphone Les Paul Ultra, for which she provided input for the design)

OK, here they come ...

10 minutes playing her slothead or 10 minutes playing her. Which would you choose?

Nancy has one of the ORIGINAL slotheads....and supposedly she still has it.

If you want to see Heart playing Ovations, "The Road Home" DVD is better....the Balladeer 12-string comes out for a song or two, Ann plays a Viper for one song, and Howie Leese plays an Ovation mandolin.

They are playing at Jackpot, Nevada June 25. Easy drive from here and could do a little gambling if I was into that.

Jackpot is an interesting place. Basically a casino in the middle of the desert just across the border, like most Nevada towns, except this one never grew much.

Does anyone know if the video show after the concert was called Headline Act? They showed videos of early Heart with Nancy and her Adamas and I'd like to Tivo it. ;) Thanks.

LOL :D Programming at its best. Its on VH1 classic May 14th @ 8:30 est.I'm not sure this is the same show that was on after the first showing of the concert but here is a blurb I lifted from VH1's site regarding this one.
"About: Headline Act: (#041) Heart Wilson sisters Ann and Nancy were on-hand to promote their new CD, "Love Songs" and discuss what it is like working together after all of these years and making videos. The second half of "Headline Act" will feature Heart videos including "Barracuda," "What About Love," "Crazy On You," "Alone" and "Magic Man."
Sounds like its worth a Tivo programming to me. ;)
