As I mentioned in my first post I am being charged $300US for shipping of my new 1778T OFT (and does this get jargonised to offed?) to Townsville, Australia. I notice increasingly and when I enquire of other dealers/sellers (roundback included) that it is only about $110. But I have seen the $300 figure as well.

Does anyone understand the discrepancy or am I being overcharged

the regulations for shipping to australia include size restrictions that are smaller than the average guitar box. as a result sometimes you can slip it through othertimes you cannot. probably the 300 reflects ups or fed ex

I recently bought a guitar from Elderly and it was $178US to ship but last year I bought a guitar from a store in Florida and it was nearly $300US to ship.
