I'm here with my nephew Dan, 15 years old, who brought his new Takamine. He and his all-wood guitar are being well received. John <>{

The hotel jam session was epic. Amazing assortment of great instruments and some wonderful people to play them. Started winding down around 1am. I was accused of being a wuss for not staying around longer (and for wearing a Martin t-shirt). Dave

And all for good reason, I assume.

BTW, I agree about no posts from those actually IN the factory this week - the rest of us need some sort of consolation prize.

Now, if you guys want to snag souveniers for the rest of us...

Andrew,

Wha-a-a-a-a-a-h.
:D
And I mean that ina nice way!

I whimped out about midnight, been up since 0500 on Wednesday. Started having visions.

Note: As I started the journey at SEA on Wed night I set my C2078LX on the rollers for security. Immediately the TSA says "Is that a Martin?", "I have a Martin 12!".

This was the ugliest, deepest voiced women I have ever seen. Most likely a man in transition and in need of a Clinique session.

I kept my big mouth shut until I made though...

...and it wasn't easy!

Waskel - thanks for posting the pics - while it does increase the envy factor - it's nice to see such an assortment of quitars and everyone having fun playing em...

Next year for sure...

Have a great time guys!

There does seem to be a wider selection this year... Cliff's slothead, Brad's AD2 and BW, Woody's Contour bowl Elite 12 (beautiful!), Ttenns Mill, JeffW's, Woz's and Bobo's FD14s, Moody's 1773LX, Woz's 1687, my 1581, Johnny's ME12, Temp's Viper and Tri-cones(!), a couple Utes, various LX models... I'm sure I've left some out. And we haven't even gotten to the factory yet!

Wow....all those people, all those guitars, and all those chords being fingered above the 7th fret. Glad I didn't go, I would have been too embarrassed to try and play any of the instruments.

I've really spent the last couple of days really bummed out that I wasnt able to make it this year. I was really looking forward to seeing Al, Cliff, Paul Temp, and finaly meeting Standing...uh Tupperware face to face. There would of course be many familiar faces from my last tour a couple years ago and i'm sure I would meet many new freinds. All i can say is that maybe next year will turn out better for me being able to attend. Just know i really did miss being there.

Rumor has it that there may be some photos and videos of the jam session. I personally hope not. What happends in New Hartford should STAY in New Hartford. At least please blur out my face... and Skipkids nipples...

I agree, but MWoody might have something nice to say about Stonge's Longneck 12... :D
