Location: Westerville, Ohio | I just purchased a new Ovation 6778LX. I noticed when I got home that the sticker inside the body said "1778LX" below that "Elite LX"
So I emailed Ovation with my question and they ran the serial number and it is in fact a 6778LX.
My question is, will this hurt my resale when and if I decide to ever sell it?
thanks,

Location: Westerville, Ohio | You gotta point, but if it would help resale because it's a factory screw up they I'm not sure I want to mess with it. I'm sure it's really not that big of a deal though.
I absolutely love this guitar, I just got it back yesterday from getting set up and WOW this thing is great!! |

Location: Canton (Detroit), MI | It would only help resale if it was represented as a 1778 instead of a 6778, and that is dishonest. However, a sharp buyer would note the chrome tuners and strap buttons, plus the matte finish neck, and question it.
It shouldn't HURT value if you explain the situation.

Location: Phoenix AZ | I recently got a custom order Custom Legend. Paid significant money for it and it came with a label that says .... FOLKLORE !!!
I didn't pay for a Folklore, I paid for a Custom Legend! The label is now history and the guitar is nekkid. Actually it looks 100 times better without some goofy label right in the center of the hole anyway.
Will it hurt resale? I could care less. This guitar will never be resold if I can help it.

Location: Westerville, Ohio | So Dave are those all your guitars on your website.....Holly K rap!! So can I come over and play all those:-)
You gotta point, I took the sticker out of my CS257. You would think that if you spent all that money on a guitar they could at least put the right label in it. |

You are always welcome to come and play. Unless you are a Buckeye fan ;) |

I have been waiting many, many years for the chance to wedge that little bit of triva into a conversation. |

I did some grad work at Michigan. We agree to disagree. You're still welcome to come to my house, but please use the back door.
These days I'm a huge ASU fan. I know, it's not big-boy football but I do enjoy it.
