This is a souvenir "guitar" my son brought back to me from his Peru trip last summer. It plays very well despite the strings being fishing line, and all tuned to H#, the frets being drawn on with magic marker. The wood tuning pegs also work great. I don't think he even knew the significance of the llama.

That's the sound of the Llama joke goin' over my head.
If this isn't a super-private-inside-joke-only-known-to-the-elite around here.... would somebody get me up to speed on this one?

Playing on the Spanish word "llama" (pronounced "yahmah" - which actually means "name"), the dissertation becomes an absurd lecture regarding the animal, Llama. Ex: ". . the llama has fins for swimming and lives in mighty rivers, like the Amazon . ."
Thoroughly absurd stuff (but then again, it IS Python) . . .
Cut to about 30 years later:
In an effort to goad/recruit OFC members to participate (I seem to do a lot of this) in the 2nd TourJam, I recounted several extra-curricular events that went on at the previous year's Tour:
Alpep Look-Alike Contest, Naked Chambermaid Rodeo, Elevator Drag-Racing, etc. .
I seem t'remember that one of my comments was that my credit was charged extra because I'd left an Ecuadorian maid naked in the shower with a bottle of tequila and a live llama sleeping in my bed. Such was the impetus.

They're deadlier, but I ALWAYS get the blame!

BTW, that's the 20 minute sharpie version I did at work. I'm working on the real deal now. And the Ovation cases was a great idea, Pickles.
Now if I can just get you Lawyers to pay me huge amounts of money to draw your company Christmas cards, I can get some real guitars. |

Cap'n, that's fantastic work! I could walk you through recovering a fragged Linux server with my eyes closed, but I couldn't do something that artistic to save my life!
It may not be boatloads of money, but I would pay you to do my Christmas cards and/or artwork for my family web page! Seriously! Shoot me an email/PM if your game. |

Crunchy, snappy, popular at a party. Would sound great from the stage too! "And on rythme guitar and nose flute, Pickles Dupree!"
And when I was a kid, one of my buddies dog was named Pickles, great dog! |

I vote that he changes those suitcases to Ovation cases as well.... add the year to it somewhere too...
Then put it up for sale on cafepress.com on different items.
I want a coffee cup.

I was also thinking of putting it on cafepress, along with the Al/Miles-Godzilla cartoon in my gallery, just in case any of you wanted one. It may be a while before I finish coloring it, with the Hawaii trip coming up.
And I've actually worked on a few unfinished pieces of some others of you, so don't turn your backs. But I've had some stuff to draw. I did a coloring book this month and am supposed to be working on a children's book.
I'm not forgetting about you, DVD. I'll contact you before too long.
