Darn, Omaha, beat me by a minute. Good thing I saw the hula skirt and coconuts in person.
Well... maybe "good thing" isn't the right phrase here...
I'm so tired, tired of waiting, tired of waiting for you
So tired, tired of waiting, tired of waiting for you
I was a lonely soul, I had nobody till I met you
But you keep-a me waiting, all of the time
What can I do
It's your life, and you can do what you want
Do what you like, but please don't keep-a me waiting
Please don't keep-a me waiting
'Cause I'm so tired, tired of waiting, tired of waiting for you
So tired, tired of waiting, tired of waiting for you
I was a lonely soul, I had nobody till I met you
But you keep-a me waiting, all of the time
What can I do
It's your life, and you can do what you want
Do what you like, but please don't keep-a me waiting
Please don't keep-a me waiting
'Cause I'm so tired, tired of waiting, tired of waiting for you
So tired, tired of waiting, tired of waiting for you
For you
For you |

So John...how do you want the picture signed?
"To Waskel..my close, personal friend...."...???? |

I like "HlywdBlvd" (it's one of my faves in our gig repertoire), but yer right, it not typical Kinks tune . . .
I hurried "learned" the tune (&"MrsRobinson") the evening I found out had Anne Bancroft passed, and played 'em both that night at a gig.
Both of 'em "went over" fairly well & just "stuck" . . . |

Another CD/LP that has come to my attention (and collection) is the "SCOOP" series by Pete Townshend. These are essentially all the self made demos that Pete did on the majority of the Who songs. I had read several times that many of the demos Pete did were better than the finished Who recordings and some of these prove that statement to be true. Great historical stuff to listen to and see how the songs developed. |

"To Waskel..my close, personal friend...."...???? That would be perfect... but considering the subject of the photo, maybe not so much with the 'close'.
...or the 'personal' for that matter... |
