Said it was the "Official Kaman Test Riff"!
Same as featured on the Made in USA DVD.
Does someone have the TAB for that so I can be cool like Kim? It probably belongs on Jerome's Tribute site as well! |

You can play-test a guitar any way you want as long as
you hit all of the playable notes evenly.
If you do it in groups of 3 notes per string, the pick
goes down, up, down, and there is no rest stroke
before going to the next string. If you do this
enough, it gets too fast to hear individual notes and
the point of the test is lost. If you do it in groups
of 4, you scrub off some of the speed by doing
straight alternate picking, and there is a long way
for the pick to travel before you hit the next string.
If you want one that'll really frost your flawless
technique, try groups of 3 (down, up down)starting on
the high E string and moving down. Then try it with
alternating picking on each string (E: down, up, down;
B: up, down up; G: down, up, down, and so on...).
It turns what can be a fairly routine job into finger
exercises that can improve your overall playing
skills. |

I'm still trying to clean-off the Uke-like eminations wafting out of the Lowden after Witko used it for a day... |

Thanks for bringing it, Jeff. It really was a joy to get some time with it. You actually brought a non-O.
Some people just wore the t-shirt... |

Seriously, It's a very nice guitar. In fact, all of Jeff's guitars are very nice. |

but Wease, do you you think you could reach the guitar around me??
(... and for the record, if a little of that ThunderRoad uke stays on the Lowden, I wouldn't be all that upset) |
