Location: roswell, ga | Can someone recommend some strings being used on these guitars? I'm thinking medium gauge D'Addario's or Elixirs.

Location: closely held secret | I think you'd be very happy with light or medium (depends on how easily your fingers bleed) D'add EXP's. |

Location: Canton (Detroit), MI | I use "custom light" (.011" - .052") gauge D'Addario Phosphor Bronze strings on my 1617. There aren't any finish checks or cracks on the top of mine; I use the slightly lighter strings to try to keep it that way.

Location: Waurika OK | When I had my 1617, I often used 13's, mostly 12's though. An O without any structural problems should be able to handly heavy strings, if that is what you prefer. |
