...hmmmm... maybe Ovation can come up with a collapsible bowl like Rubbermaid Kitchen containers has..... folding neck, popup bowl.....yup!

What a cool ass travel guitar... I'm wondering what the hinge looks like... It might be like a fine piano hinge?... If it was truly stable, it would be a cool option...

I think Ovation should look at inflatable technology for a travel guitar...

There's at least one engineer on this board with experience on inflatable devises who might be of assistance.
