I would like to personally thank Mitch for the privilege to take part at your gig last Saturday at the Veterans Hospital. You and your gigging buddy there played and sang with all your hearts, and I'm at a loss for words, with regards to your commitment to share your talents, and make a difference in the well-being of the individuals there.

I met some great guys during my time there. I listened to some interesting war tales, and enjoyed the wonderful camaraderie, while enjoying the music simultaneously. They were very appreciative of the music and entertainment, as most of them sang along to the songs. Those folks may have been physically scarred from their tours of duty -- but spiritually -- they were bursting with life!

Your son played incredibly well too. Andrew, if you're reading this, I'm still overwhelmed at your ability to teach me 'Freebird' right on the stage, and still be confident to allow me to accompany you as I was learning the song for the very first time. That's a definite first for me.

Phil, it was great to see you once again and show your support. Hopefully, there shall be more get-togethers to come ...

I'm glad that you had a good time Gil. It was a really fun afternoon. You're right, we need to have more get-togethers.

Maybe we can do a Sunday BBQ and jam sometime this summer.

Dave, what's the connection, if any to Michigan or Iowa. I went back to a class reunion a couple years ago and got to see Iowa beat Michigan. I only went to one game in the 3 years I was at Iowa. They sucked almost as bad as Northwestern did back then.

The weekend of 9/15 is beginning to look good ... hopefully, I will be able to make it.

What'll keep me is the huge amount of paperwork (e.g. updated evaluations, IEPs, progress reports, lesson plans...) that I will have to take care of, considering that it is the beginning of the new school year in September.
