We buy these for our stores.

If you want to save money, and don't mind used/refurbished (we've had good luck going this way - there's not much to go wrong with them) you could go this route.

I need the thermal one for ups labels. Not sure if I want to buy new or used. some of the used ones can have a ton of hours on them. if you have any suggestions e me.

I have an older style themal printer and the drivers are conflicting with xp pro so I figured I should move up.

Try using this driver. It's from Seagull Scientific, we use them at work with XP and they work great. And they're free.
Let me know if you have any questions on the install.
