Sheshhh....I guess I am spolied by the Rockies.
I thought it looked like a pile of dirt from a construction site in the distance  |

The Appalachian chain, which once rivaled the hieght of the Himalayas, are 680 million years old, much older than the still forming Rockies, and as such have had eons to soften and erode... |

Location: 6 String Ranch | I did say CT hill top. It's only 1559'. The rockies are way more, even Mt Mitchell in NC is 6600'. You still get a 40-50 mile view so we'll suffer through with that. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | I guess I should enjoy my 40 or 50 mile view from my office window. If I turn north, however, the view is blocked by this darn mountain. I don't really call it a mountain, though, because it's only 7500 feet. I can't wait until it's softened and eroded so that I can see further. |

Hmmmmm....so my rock is younger than your rock. Interesting theory.
I would be more inclined to believe that there is a larger buildup of fecal matter in the area of the Appalachian chain which results in the softening and erosian. |

A nearby hike on a clear morning up Mt. Ellinor would provide a view of Mt. Baker, Mt. Rainier, Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Hood. How many active volcanoes do you guys got?
Got Lahar?

I think a more appropriate question would be "why would we want any active volcanoes"! |

The airplane ride back from BDF from the Tour was cool. I had a window seat and watched the landscape below make it's changes.
Speaking of Gold plated wonders...
...that is a great deck scene you got going there Bill! |

Location: closely held secret | Mike, that was in May... never mind. I had a window seat, too. I leaned my head against it while we were waiting to taxi out, and when I opened my eyes we were coming to a stop in Chicago. First time I've ever slept through a takeoff and landing! |

Location: Boise, Idaho | Beautiful picture. Send it to Slipkid for the calendar. I probably won't get around to taking my pictures, now, since my ideas for artsy photos weren't nearly as good. I actually thought about taking one with a mountain lake in the background, but I hadn't decided which guitars to use and didn't want to haul the whole bunch up there. |

Where was that taken? Looking northwest from Whidbey Island. The guitar is a Country Artist. Since the camera is automatic, I get much better results than I do playing the guitar!
