Location: Sunshine State, Australia | In this youtube clip this guy hits a foot pedal and plays a short segment of a song, obviously recording it. Then it loops over and over while he plays a solo over the top of it.
What is the gadget called and who makes em? |

Location: Phoenix AZ | It's just a loop station or any other pedel that has sample hold and playback. There's dozens and dozens of them out there.
Here's just one example: Boss Loop Station
I don't play live so I just use my DAW. Record a simple 4 bar chord progression and then loop it and jam along.

Location: North Carolina | I toyed with the idea of using a looper to get a bigger solo sound, I went to a music store and messed with a few. Fun for a while, but ultimately decided just to use my guitar synth to generate bass with the guitar. That works well for me because I only play finger style. If I were a flatpicker, I might have looked at the looper a little harder. |
