Applause P'up

I've heard they're delicate. Also I've heard of some magic goo that is spread at the bottom of the saddle hole before installing the p'up. Listening to "If I were a Carpenter" Way Cool. If there is a "goo" it should be similar to an RTV or Silicone sealant I would think.
