How much difference in playing/tone/etc. is there in the necks between a Celeb and an American O? More specifically, if you took the top off a celeb body (CS 257) and replaced it with a solid american top and braces (Elite), would you wind up with the functional equivalent of an Elite? Might not look exactly like one, but would it play/sound like an Elite?

Location: NJ | celebs were generally set necks so if they went out of adjustment there is no way to reset them or I guess i should say it generally is not worth it |

Location: Phoenix AZ | My guess is that it would sound similar to a USA elite. But the playability/fit/finish/fretwork of the neck would still be celeb level. Would be an interesting guitar.
Probably more interesting would be the opposite guitar. A lot of people don't give a crap about the acoustic sound, they just want to plug in and go on stage. But they want the feel of the USA neck. You could probably put a celeb top or any darn top on their guitars and they wouldn't care or know the difference.
