My regrets, Brad (though I'm sure you don't see it that way) I must leave Mi, on Aug 12.

Nice "flyer" Brad!

I'm sure that it's been printed in mass quantity and is being posted on every telephone pole in downtown Detroit this very minute . . . .

I once threw an outdoor SummerBash at my home and had invited a "select" group of co-workers via an e-mailed, similar "flyer" . . .
On the Friday before the party (I had taken the day off to prepare my house/yard), somebody in the office (I would assume "peeved" that THEY weren't invited) printed the flyer and papered the warehouse with it . . .

Had about 30 VietNamese and Ecuadorian workers (who spoke not a WORD of English - but were curiosly capable of reading the invite - and finding my house) show up to happily relieve me of a couple of kegs and a goodly part of Frank Purdue's weekly production . . .

LessonLearned.

Couldn't be any worse than having a bunch of OFC members show up.

I'm not worried.
Afterall...this is the internet. Safe, Secure, and contained.
That was a rotten trick they pulled on you Cliff.

BrianT and I spent about a hour last night over-thinking this thing. Small drum kit? Three acoustic amps with mic inputs? A single powered speaker through a mixer? A full PA? I want to amp up to provide a little flavor to the guitars and vocals but don't need to blast the neighborhood. I plan on amp time in the afternoon and early evening, then move into the unplugged tiki torch phase.

I figure that maybe only 3 or 4 OFC'ers might make the trip. I'm trying to fill out the crowd with some musical and non-musical friends.
Any suggestion that would help make this thing go would be appreciated.

"...your beverage of choice and a small dish or snacks to pass..."

Have your septic pumped and load up on charmin!

Better yet, rent a "Blue Room". Get the Handicap one, the side rails may come in handy.

I was just kidding. I hope the OFC is a well behaved bunch. My daughter would like to attend our NW OFC gathering. I'm sure she has probably seen much more bad behavior than I have, since she's in college.

I was: (a)too drunk to remember; (b)it was so long ago I don't remember; (c)bad behavior then was so tame it wouldn't be considered bad behavior now; (d)going to a junior college in Western Kansas wasn't even close to the same as going to a private school in Portland; (e)all of the above.
I get embarassed being in the same room with my daughters when they watch the crap they watch on television. I prefer to watch that crap by myself.

Why....it's the gateway to Marine City, don't ya know.
The home of Chris-Craft boats.
Back in the '40s they made PT boats here. Boy I would love to have seen one of those blast down the North Channel.

So..Algonac is a village? What state / province? I'm in the mid-west, North Central Illinois, but don't know the town of Algonac. Sounds Indian. Maybe up around Lake Gitchigumi?

Can we refer to it as Canogla? It's much more fun to say.

Algonac - noun, (el-gon'-yak), 1. An alcoholic beverage or liquer derived from sea algae and kelp. Patented and distilled in So. California until the presence of "Swimmer's Itch" was connected to the bottling plant in Pasadena.
