Hello!

I just can't understand, whether I've got solid or laminated top on my Ovation Pacemaker (1977). The official site says it's spruce, and nothing more. Do you know anything about the subject?

If it is marked as the Model 1115 or 1615 on the label and says Made in USA it is a solid Spruce top.

Greetings!

It's a solid top. All USA built Ovations (with just a few exceptions) are solid top guitars.

Solid sitka spruce. For some reason the Ovation website says only "sitka spruce", but I don't think the factory made anything with a laminated spruce top back in 1977.

SOLID??????? I thought it was mentioned here many moons ago that Applauses have never had anything but laminate tops. Guess that's why my old 1976-vintage Applesauce sounds so decent.
