Does anyone know anything about this? Yutaka Ozaki was a popular Japanese pop performer. He made 7 CD's and was usually seen performing with a black Adamas II 1681 or a black Adamas II 12-string. There are some videos on youtube and he's got an official website (url escapes me). Unfortunately he passed away in 1992 at the age of 26.

Anyway, in Japan I found a very interesting Yutaka Ozaki Signature Adamas II. It seems like it is a BRAND NEW model. It's just like the 1581-5 reissue but in the 1681-5 non-cutaway version. VERY nice. On the center of the headstock it has a siloette of Ozaki-san and the dates 1965-1992. I'll post some pics as soon as I get back to the US tomorrow. Selling price in Tokyo was about $2200. US

Just curious if anyone knows anything about this special guitar. I imagine it was a limited run ordered by the Japanese distributor (similar situation to the John Lennon reissue). But I'm curious how many were made, were they all shipped to Japan, anything else special about it, etc.

Hope it sounds even remotely close to what it looks like. That's a beauty.

That's about $4500. list. I think the one in the shop was selling for about $3750.
