My daughter Kaki appeared at the Montréal Jazz Festival yesterday, opening the show for headliner Ani DiFranco. I was quite surprised to see the Montréal paper feature Kaki's onstage photo to head the review.

She is pictured with her prototype Adamas. I have absolutely no French, but my impression is that she was well-received.

I'll leave it to our French friends for an exact translation, but the caption reads something like this;

" Kaki was back this year after being rained-out last year and she demonstrated an eloquent, percussive acoustic technique...and convincing virtuosity..."

Good on ya, Kaki.
