I found this at my Mom's apartment a few months ago and keep meaning to post it. I'm pretty sure it's from a Readers Digest.

You've just gotta love the extreme look of concern on the girls face! This is just priceless. I'm sure everyone of us over 45 can appreciate this.

OK, well I'm obviously incompetent at putting pictures into posts.... but please take a look at my gallery to see how the picture SHOULD look!

Oh, and I finally got a shot on there of the Tangent bass and its "twin" Tanget guitar.

Cheers,
JT

Reader's Digest a few months ago. There's usually a similarly drawn, humorous picture on the back cover. Don't know the artist, but it is definitely a cross between Norman Rockwell and Mort Drucker.

Thanks for posting that Tim. How do you do it? I can use Photoshop (moderately well) but it seems I can't use OFC for S#@t! :)

JT,

Just copy the URL of the image (from the website the image is on...not your own computer) to the clipboard, pick the "IMAGE" option in the Topic Reply form, Paste the URL in the address window that pops up.... datzit.

I'm afraid that's pretty much what the SE OFC Gathering will look like, if we ever have one. Just add GGG's teeth in a glass somewhere.

Tim:

What if I only have the image on my computer? I tried linking to the page on OFC's Gallery where I uploaded the pic but the URL just said www.ovationfanclub.com.... Do I need to put the image online somewhere else first?

By the way, I'm going to do some more work on the picture when I have some free time (instead of a 2 minute break from work)... My girlfriend's a graphic designer and I"ll have her give me a hand. Maybe we can put together a real nice OFC version of the picture. :p

Cheers,
JT

It does have to be on the "Web"....

Go to your OFC Gallery, right click on the picture there, pick "Properties", copy the URL from that listing ....

OK, so instead of studying for the NY Bar exam like I should be doing, I took a break to make this for y'all. Enjoy!

(OK, I'm doing this like I was told... but if the image doesn't come up, please look in my gallery and someone else please post it because apparently I'm an idiot).

I hope you do as well on the bar exam, although I always question the sanity of anyone taking a bar exam. We just interviewed a guy who passed 3. I know someone who failed the New Jersey bar several times before he finally passed. He's now a judge.

Thanks a lot Mark. Frankly, I'm questioning my sanity a little at the moment... but after 3 years of law school and 2 months of studying I think I should just take it and get it out of the way. :)

After all, if things don't work out I could always fall back on a career as a graphic designer (all be it after a little more practice). If I get called out on altering the picture I have a background in copyright law to back myself up with!

Must be some equivalent professional joke to the medical one that goes; What do you call the man who graduates from medical school with the lowest marks in his class?

Doctor.
(only the answer would be, Your Honor.) ;)

I took 2 in one summer. No big deal, but then all the young guys tell me that's because they couldn't fit as many laws on those stone tablets back then.

Nah Mark, they still give us stone blocks... there are just more of them now! You have no clue how many stoncutters Barbri employs! :p :p :p (For anyone who is fortunate enough not to know, Barbri is a company with a lock on the Bar review biz in the US)

That is funny! Oh, and I didn't take a BarBri course either. The Iowa bar had it's own review course and when I moved out here the course was over, so I just winged it on my own. After the Iowa bar exam, most others would probably be a piece of cake. The judge I know that failed the New Jersey bar passed the New York and Pennsylvania bar exams first. I think he didn't bribe the right people.

Ha. Yeah, I'd be lying if I said that the bribery angle never crossed my mind... unfortunately for me I have too much morals and (probably) way too little cash to pull off a bribe like that!
