Location: Oregon | *sigh* Long story leading to a question short... Can anyway tell me what kinda sound a mid depth bowl gives? As opposed to a shallow. Did I word that correctly? Just wondering. |

Location: Warren,Pa. | My daughter (The Artist formerly known as Lori Anne) has an Elite T shallow bowl. It sounds pretty good for a s/b and you might find one at a great price used. Almost as good bass sound as my mid-depth.That's the only s/b I've heard that sounds acceptable unplugged.

IMHO...The mid bowl does a passable impression of the deep bowl...the shallow does a poor impression. The new contour does a very good impression. But with the right top, there is nothing like the rumble amd projection of a deep bowl. |

Location: Cherry Hill, NJ | Hence, the creation of the LX Ovation. Ovation recognized that the Deep Bowl may be a bit heavy, and it's roundness may not suit some players. The shallow body, while great to play, lacked volume, and tone, when not plugged in. My LX is actually louder, but a bit less bass than my deep bowl CL. That being said, mt 1868T is a great shallow. It really packs a great sound, plays like a strat, and the textured top, produces a bright sound. For your purpose, check out the Elite T 1868. |

Location: Chehalis, Washington | I have all three (ss, mid, deep) and each has its own presence. I like to play the shallow plugged in the most, and the deep unplugged. I have a mid-bowl 1778T that is just awesome all the way around. I've toyed around with selling it just to thin the collection, but it does have a great balance of strong bass and bright resonance, while still being comfortable to hold and play (amped or unplugged).
If you're really looking for a good all-around, check out the EliteT in the mid depth, or PM me if you're seriously interested, and I may be persuaded to part with mine...maybe. |

Location: NW NJ | Don't sell it Andrew ... the T is just too perfect an instrument. Herd thinning is good if you have axes that youy don't play anymore and have no particular sentimental value. Sounds like you really love the T (like I do mine) by the way you describe it. I say keep it, love it and let it sing! :D
... of course, you could sell it and get something cooler. |

Andrew's has an exceptionally nice timbre to it as well.
Being black you can hang it in the corner and it could go undetected! |
