Yesterday was a good day.
Took off from work and managed to get my sewer roto’d, installed a window, found a great deal on a kayak and got a free guitar!

I took advantage of the Guitar Center Buy a Box of EXP’s and get a free guitar offer. It’s a nice looking little Jasmine. I thought I’d post saying now that I have a guitar with endpins and a pick guard I’m just like my hero Tup!

Actually, I peeled the pick guard off this morning. Maybe I’ll laminate some Koa on there.

Probably find someone who needs the guitar more or see if my Daughter’s up for learning.

Had an intervention at GC. There were two young guys trying out guitars. Handed over an Elite T and talked up the O’s. Someone’s gotta do it!

At the Tacoma GC there is an early Pacemaker serial #000680! Has the Kluson’s and a very straight neck. It’s sunburst and has a matching set of finish cracks from bridge to bottom.

It’s tuned now…

You are a true ambassador for Ovation! They should allow you credit for each intervention that can be cashed in on a new guitar for you collection each year! :D

And i guess i picked up a very rare red Ovation Celebrity GC3 solidbody from about 1988-89 for $150, but with a body strikingly similar to the Applause GTX 33, rather than the actual Celebrity solidbodies as pictured in an ad at OvationTribute.com.

Looking for info in another thread here, so if anyone of you know anything more, let me know.

No, no! THE GUITAR, the guitar on E-bay!
Then you have the strings for FREE!

BTW, is there a Guitar Centre near the gathering in Portland?

Then I would have to go through 10 sets of strings that I don't really care for.

Yeah...but personal string choice is very subjective. I've tried quite a few different brands but have settled on one I like.
I don't doubt that a big part of string choice is just being more familiar with a certain brand. If I went through 10 sets of EXPs, I learn (a.k.a. get familiar ) to like them.

Hey, I totally agree. All's I'm saying is they're not bad strings if essentially they're free.
