I was looking at the new Gene Baker guitars and thought there is something really familar looking about it then it hit me it's an Ultra GP. Here is his version
and here is the real deal.

Maybe it's time to bring back the GP?

Those are very close. I like the Ovation better though. Interesting inlay on it. The Gene Baker looks like a mash between a Les Paul and a GP, with Sg inlay.

GPs bridge is something not very usual, so the GP does look nicer. The Eastwood GP is a great copy, but it severely lacks one important aspect of the GP - the Ovation headstock.

I have to put a picture of a GP next to a picture of the Cort M600. That's my favourite GP lookalike, which i think eventually i'm gonna get, cuz it's darn cheap, but has a mahogany body with flamed maple top, set mahogany/rosewood neck. I think a nice thing would be to have a semihollow GP just like Cort has M600 and M900.
