I'm not taking orders yet but Designzilla needs a fresh infusion of high quality pictures. He needs about 6 months worth of stunning Ovation photos.
We have the best guitar calendar on the planet because..
1) Designzilla's awesome raw talent and commitment to excellence.
and 2) Because this membership provides him with fantastic pictures to work with!
Mr. Lanaki... Damon... MusicMike...
Woody... JeffW... Mark...
Miles... how bout pulling a couple special ones off your shelf and take a few pics?
And lets not forget our brothers across the ponds.
Steve & I are callin' you out! Now is the time.
Look over the old calenders for some inspiration. Place your guitars in areas unique to where you live. Be bold.
Use the maximum resolution your camera can handle.
Now
is
the time. |

And don't let my unrelenting demand for perfection throw you off either. Peel away that thin layer of bravado and the desperation will be apparent.
Woody... We'll need pics of that surf guitar.
Damon... I'll get you that address. |

I took some photo just the other day that you will find a little different from my usual. But due to my computer situation there will be a temporary delay. These photos may not be calendar worthy just different.

And "ignored" is such a strong term. Let's just say it didn't make the cut. Or maybe the resolution was not high enough.
As much as I harp on it, you'd be surprised how many great pics come in that are to small use. |

Been there... done that.
I mean hula chicks with Ovations!
Tastefully done of course.
You got the idea Jim. Are there any hula chicks down in... awww.. nevermind.
Comment on the second pic... notice how the white bridge lines up with the first fret position marker and kinda visionally seperates the headstock from the rest of the guitar. |

I'm not trying to be a dick, my point is that half the fun of the calendar is the excitement of waiting for it and looking inside to see what's there. Like opening santa's gifts on xmas morning. It wouldn't have been the same if the unwrapped gifts had been laying around the house all week in plain view, would it?
Btw, It was the same with the the OFC CD. People could have just posted their tunes here and we could have listened and commented. But wouldn't that have kind of spoiled the fun? It would have for me.
Y'all do what you want (and I'll keep being what I am best at) but I'm sorta disappointed to have already seen under the skirt prior to the wedding night.

Seriously, I appreciate the pics posted here and consider them as nothing more than a preview of what will come, namely, the best of the best. If I thought I had a chance of having a pic selected for the calendar, I would not post it here. That might be one in 100. |
