Look over the two cracks in the Folklore. Those were:
scraped clean
filled with Cyano-glue
sanded smooth
cleaned with denatured alcohol and air
filled with Cyano-glue
sanded smooth
Repeat
I used 1000 and 1500 wet and then used the Soft Touch Finishing Pads from Stewmac
Then you can do the whole top in steps. Keep it wet!
The Cyano-glue (Krazy/Super/etc) leaves basically the same medium as the top finish. The trick is to keep it clean and build it in. |

Location: Upper Left USA | Once you have filled and stepped up in the abrasives (1000-12000)you are just about buffed. Use a auto buffing polish and then wax.
You can't reseal Poly because it doesn't "melt" like lacquer.
Avoid the scraer and use the abrasives.
With the 1000 grit use a block. |

Location: SoCal | StewMac says that you can use 2,000 on the catalyzed polyester but that is too rough...takes a lot of elbow grease but I highly recommend 3,600 and then finer up to about 8,000. Otherwise, you put in scratches that will be a lot of work to get out.
On the Anniversary's crack, I mixed acrylic (water soluble) colors on the top to try and match the finish, tomorrow the CyA.
Norse(waiting patiently)man, I ran out of time over the weekend but I'm working on it. ;) |

Maybe MWoody might be able to advise - one of those ones he puts on the Viper pick guards might look good...sure looks purdy. Bet he could come up with an "overlay" and raised logo :D |
