I had a wood-only buddy of mine come over and play the cootie. Here is a recording I made of him playing. It is 1.3MB.
Cootie sound bit

After playing it he said that it almost makes him want to switch to plastic.

Technically, it is a U681T. I special ordered it with a contour bowl, cutaway. Since the originals were nicknamed UTEs, this became a CUTE, which somehow morphed into the name "cootie", which has stuck. It didn't get the contour bowl, tho.

So basically it is a 12 fret, medium bowl, cut away, textured top, 2080 "cat's eye", OpPro studio Adamas.
