Jerome even sends out a nice newsletter...all you need to do is register.
He is also compiling a list (with pictures) of the 47RI's.
He has # 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 19, 23, 24, 33, 34, 35, 42,and 47.
As the owner of # 3, I wonder where are # 1 and # 2?? |

Production seems to be in the 50's (sn) but it might be in the 60's by now.
I know where a couple are still available (as of yesterday), if interested. |

We already know of a couple of dealers that took deposits and will be unable to deliver. |

Cancell the bid, 'dawg...I'm sure "Found a 47RI" must be in the Reasons-For-Cancelling-Auction drop-down menu somewhere!

You would think that John or Kim could tell us at least where #1 & 2 initially shipped. |

It's horrible...I've avoided the temptation of a #47 several times...and it always comes back! |

"And what's with these signature lines? It's like they opened up the tupperware cupboard and decided to post the inventory as their signature".
THAT'S CLASSIC. Dave |

For the record my cupboard holds the Reynolds, Glad and No-name containers from the sliced lunch meats.
No model numbers and the lid to container match up possibilities are still endless... |

As we know, there is a list of the original slotheads...at least as complete as known. Interesting.
Sure, Customer Service has records of who registered a guitar for warranty (for internal use). Understandable that this information is not for general use.
Jerome has an excellent project going for those that volunteer. Counting Hawaii, U.S. and France aren't doing bad. Nice touch to have the owner's photo...sometimes showing a flavor of their homeland.
Even Dave's site has some OFC'ers who don't list the serial number.
For those that don't want to...fine. Not that big of a deal, just fun. |

When I first started here, I thought 1537s were the must have, then it was the 87 Collector's, Utes, the 05 Collector's etc. As hard as I've tried, I just can't keep up with this crowd. |

God knows I love wall hangers as much as the next guy, probably more so, but this is just too much money and too much guitar to spend most of its time on the wall. In my studio, it would never be played as frequently as those that I can plug in. Accordingly, I prefer leaving the remaining units to those of you who appreciate and enjoy playing unplugged. Now, if the factory was to add electronics to the 47RI similar to many of the original slotheads . . . |

At one point, I had my finger on the trigger to a 47RI, and only resisted based on the fact that 95% of the time I play amped, and putting out $3000+ for a guitar that's not internally amp-able was something I just could not justify.
Now a custom order though... :D |

I'm sure that there's much more #47-RI in USA but it's easier for me to call all the models in France.
The French O's community is very small and everybody knows everybody.
That's why at this time, I've got more info from France than from other countries.
